The Ripple Cabinet

This custom millwork vanity was designed and built for a couple in Pacific Palisades, blending refined craftsmanship with a calm, modern aesthetic. The cabinetry features a light natural wood finish with sculpted, vertically milled door and drawer fronts that create a subtle rhythm and depth across the surface. Integrated pulls keep the facade clean and uninterrupted, allowing the texture of the wood to take center stage.

The floating vanity spans the full width of the space, anchoring dual vessel sinks set atop a stone countertop that complements the warmth of the millwork. Tall storage cabinets on either side mirror the vanity’s carved pattern, providing generous concealed storage while maintaining visual balance and symmetry. Thoughtful proportions, precise joinery, and consistent detailing throughout result in a cohesive, tailored installation that feels both elegant and quietly expressive—designed to elevate everyday use while fitting seamlessly into the home’s serene interior.

We coordinated with the contractor to finalize drawer and cabinet dimensions, then developed a 3D model of the design and built a mockup to confirm depth and proportions.

Finally, we applied a clear polyurethane finish to protect the wood while preserving its natural color.
